Presented by Sam Rowdon (HDD Project Lead for Asia and South Pacific, M-I Swaco) and technical experts from Blick.

  • Discussion on bentonite and polymer differences, and proper uses

  • Proper testing, and reasons why we run mud tests

  • Proper mixing and handling

  • Product applications for specific drilling conditions

  • Fluid systems for different soil conditions

  • Borehole calculations and drilling methodology

Sam has a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from The University of Auckland, and completed M-I SWACO drilling fluid engineering training in Houston. 

Sam and M-I SWACO partner with Blick to provide engineering consultancy services to three waters contracts across New Zealand and Australia.
