Tim’s passion for drilling is rivalled by his love for Manchester United.
With years of experience, Tim gets excited about drilling fluids.
He specialises in drilling fluid solutions for oil and gas, geothermal, diamond coring, waterwell, HDD and construction.
Tim’s driven, knowledgeable, and ready to help. Outside Blick, it’s F45, poker and coffee.

Jon Speedy - Strategic Partner Manager
Known to take on the hottest curries, Jon brings positive competition to the team. Ask him how far he can throw a wrench (it’s further than Tim)...
Jon is based in Christchurch, NZ, runs the South Island, and spends time on both coasts in Australia. He deals with diamond coring, waterwell, HDD and construction.
He builds strong relationships, has great technical knowledge, and always makes time to help.

Shaun Tubb - General Manager

Shaun is our Operations Manager - with a vision and the tech skills to deliver it.

Lulu - Happiness and Conflict Resolution Manager
Lulu’s here for treats and pats. Her days consist of coffee walks and keeping Chris company.
Sometimes you just need someone to listen when you’re working through a problem. When Tim and Clay need reassuring looks, Lulu’s there.
Clay Adams - Technical Sales Manager
Bits, (mountain) biking, and banter. Clay can talk about drilling fluids all day long.
Based in Hamilton, NZ, Clay leads the tunnelling and construction side across Australia and New Zealand and works with customers on waterwell, diamond coring, HDD, oil and gas and geothermal.
He loves understanding how things work, thinking about the bigger picture, and producing a great result.
You’ll find him catching a wave or up a mountain if he's not on-site.

Luke Galanti - Technical Sales Manager
Luke is highly entertaining and a great listener. Loves banter. Loves talking to customers.
Based in Melbourne and working across the East Coast, Luke looks after the diamond coring, waterwell, HDD and tunnelling markets. He genuinely cares about our customers and always has them in mind.

Craig Durkee - Technical Sales Manager
Craig’s our fair weather sales guy in Perth. Loves the sunshine and don’t we all know about it when the mercury drops below 25°!
Based in Perth, Craig is building our presence in West Australia in the diamond coring, waterwell, HDD, oil & gas and tunnelling markets.

Nisha Shariff - Finance Manager
Known internally as “The Boss” Nisha is the brains of the outfit, controls the purse strings and is usually at the centre of decision making.
As our Finance Manager - Nisha wrangles accountants while managing Forex and cashflow.
Nisha loves doing a great job, is easy to get along with, and can hold her own with the team.

Chris Thomas - Procurement Manager
There’s a reason Lulu (Clay’s dog) hangs out in Chris’ office. He’s full of good energy, positivity and is incredibly loyal.
As Procurement Manager, Chris purchases our stock and custom items for customers. He’s deep into the detail, nails the numbers, and is always happy to help.

Michael Calledine - Logistics Manager (Australia)
Michael gets around single malt whiskey - Scottish, Japanese… they all hit the spot. He also enjoys a bit of biking - peddle power on the road, or up a mountain.

Michael Tubb - Logistics Manager (New Zealand)
Mighty Mike maims massive meals of meat (cause he used to be a butcher). Happiest when wearing his Blick bucket hat & hunting for marlin.
If you need a pallet of Max Gel loaded onto your truck, Mike’s your man. Frequently found in the forklift - you won’t find a Logistics Manager with better banter. He takes pride in his work, gets on well with customers, and has a great sense of humour.

Blick began as Australasian Diamond Tools - with a focus on manufacturing equipment for the diamond coring industry.
2005
New owners, a lot to learn, and a need to shift the business; from manufacturing, to import and distribution.
2008
New name, manufacturing side sold, and a new focus; expanding to cover all aspects of the drilling industry.
2018
Some original owners were bought out, and a new business partner was brought in.
Our new mission is to help contractors achieve success.
